Spring Pleasure Ride

On what turned out to be the hottest May Bank holiday for 40 years, the Exe Equestrian Club held its opening event of 2018, a 10 mile pleasure ride over Woodbury Common, kindly sponsored by Leonard Coombe. Over 50 riders took part seeing Woodbury Common at its best. This year there was an optional 5 mile ride encompassing shady woodland, sandy gallops & stunning views. On returning riders were offered a welcome drink and bacon roll. Two further rides are planned, a cream tea ride on the 5th August & an autumn ride on the 9th September.

As this ride last year was cancelled on the day due to torrential rain, it was a relief that for once the weather was not a concern. Hopefully this bodes well for the rest of the season.

Our next event is on the 27th May, a novice showing show & gymkhana, at Nutwell Court. Exe Equestrian is a small, friendly club who would welcome any help at events.

Please visit our web site www.e-equestrian.co.uk or come and say hello on the day.
