A Fantastic Start to the Season at Exe Equestrian Club!

Sunday, 4 May marked a brilliant start to the season as we hosted our first show of the year here at Exe Equestrian Club. With sunny skies, smiling faces, and top-notch competition, it was a day to remember – made possible thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, Good Game Grill, C&C Sharpening and India Weeks in Memory of Lesley Weeks.

Masterclass in Showing

We kicked off the day with an exclusive Members’ Showing Masterclass led by the talented Natalie Eastwood and Trina Prew. This session gave our members hands-on guidance in preparing both themselves and their horses for the show ring. From turnout tips to performing the perfect show, participants learned the ropes and then applied those skills in a dedicated showing class that followed.

Showing Classes Shine

The energy carried through into the In-Hand and Ridden Showing Classes, judged by Natalie Eastwood and Kerry Warren-Blackwell. Competitors impressed with beautifully presented horses and polished performances, setting a high standard for the rest of the season.

A Paws-itively Fun Dog Show

One of the highlights of the day was our Fun Dog Show, which brought together dog lovers and their adorable companions from across the community. From waggiest tail to best trick, every pup had their moment in the spotlight. The day ended on a high with the much-anticipated “Best in Show” award, celebrating the top dog for charm, behaviour, and all-around star quality.
